Google's desktop searching feature is finally emerging into the light of day.

The Google home page has a number of tabs: Web | Images | News, and so forth.
When you install this new tool, one new tab appears. It's called Desktop. Use it to search *your own stuff*. Voila!
Frustration: no Macintosh support yet.
